After two years, I’m happy to announce that I finally finished my Sherlock Holmes comic book. It features Mrs.G, but also it is a standalone story of 100 pages, so I will call it a graphic novel.
The book is a murder mystery in its basics, where we follow the events before and after two girls (one patient and one nurse) fall to their deaths minutes apart. There are bunch of suspects, and some even believe that there are demonic forces mixed up, but also some believe that it is a case of a suicide.
Mrs.G is the one who goes and brings the case to Sherlock Holmes and Dr.Watson, and from that moment, we are following the trio as they little by little figure out what has happened. But this is not without its dangers!
As always the book is available on Amazon, in either digital format ($9.99) or paperback ($14.99) . It is little more expensive than my previous comics, but it is also 2-3 times bigger. BTW, if you are outside US - you can find the links for other countries here on my MRSCOMICS page.
If you were here two years ago, you may remember that this project started as an idea for Mrs.G episode #6 . I guess I will not be spoiling anything for you, if I say that in the Mrs.G series we have Mrs.G time-traveling, and I couldn’t waste the opportunity to have my self-insert meet Sherlock Holmes himself!
However, two things got clear as we were working on the comic: 1. I came up with a mystery so complicated, that it couldn’t be done in 30, 40 or even 50 pages and 2. The story was so “full of ideas” already, that if I tried to throw in some Mrs.G story developments , it would get completely out of control.
That’s why I decided that while in the context of the “Mrs.G universe”, this happens after episode #5, I won’t do any story developments related to Mrs.G story here - I will focus only on the double suicide/murder mystery.
Still, the “style” of the comic contains the sexiness that the main artist Patrick O’Donnell is known for. And while it wasn’t strictly necessary for the story, he threw in lot of “interesting” wink wink art in there, showing buttocks and even gasp nipples, lol.
The art that Patrick O’Donnell created for this book is AMAZING! And I still can’t believe I’m working with him, and that he is enjoying working on these stories! In addition to that we got P.R.Soliver who worked on the inks and some of the backgrounds, and Nimesh Morarji who created amazing colors.
As for the title, it might look little dated with the whole “The Adventure of…” phrase, but I just wanted to stay in some things very close to the works of A.C.Doyle (the original creator of Sherlock Holmes). Almost all his early short stories were following “The Adventure of” formula.
Anyway, I invite you, my followers, to get this book, it took LOTS of work to create, and it was done with lot of love. I believe it is a very good mystery, and it would mean A TON to me, if I have you as a reader.
